What it will be able to do

• See who you are and which workspace you are in.
• Read the projects, tasks and activity you can already see - nothing more is opened up.
• Send the Noots bot to a call you are on, and file a recording or transcript you captured.

• Read the one email you have open in Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo, and only when you press Link in the pop-up. Never in the background, and never the rest of your mailbox.

Recording

Send the Noots bot automatically when I join a Meet, Zoom or Teams call

Off by default. With it off you get a small prompt on the call page instead, and nothing is recorded unless you press it.

File captures into Let Noots decide

Applies to the bot and to the recorder. “Let Noots decide” is the default and is usually right - it reads the call and files it against the project it is about.

Notice when a tab is a Meet, Zoom or Teams call

This is what puts “you’re on a call” in the pop-up and what the automatic bot depends on. Turning it off stops both.

Notice when a mail tab has a single message open

All this detects is whether a message is open - never the subject, the sender or a word of the body. That only happens when you open the pop-up and press Link. Turning it off removes the Email tab and stops the toolbar icon changing.

This is the number on the toolbar icon and the desktop pop-ups. “Never” clears the schedule outright - it does not fetch and discard.

What this extension can do

• Read the projects, tasks, progress and activity you can already see in Noots.
• Send the bot to a call, and file a transcript you captured as a meeting.
• Create a project when you ask it to.
• Link an email. On Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo the toolbar icon turns into a filled Noots chip when you have a single message open, and the pop-up gains an Email tab. Until you press Link, all the extension has read is whether a message is open - not its subject, not who sent it, not a word of it. Opening the pop-up reads the subject, sender and date so you can check you are filing the right one; pressing Link reads that one message and sends it to Noots. Nothing else in your mailbox is ever read, and nothing is read in the background.
• Fact-check and summarise send only the text you gave it to your workspace's AI provider.

Disconnecting here revokes the connection immediately. You can also remove it in Noots under Settings → API & webhooks → Connected apps, and being removed from a workspace disconnects it too.
